GRAND PRIX in Sokołów

We are happy and very proud to boast that we have received the GRAND PRIX AWARD OF THE POLISH CIOFF® SECTION at the 10th National Dance Festival in Sokołów Podlaski.

Big applause for our wonderful dancers and artistic staff!

The 1st Representation was prepared in dance by Bożena Baranowska, Ernest Szymański and Karolina Madejczyk, vocally by Tomasz Misztal, and the dancers were accompanied by the Representative Music Kapela under the direction of Włodzimierz Kukawski.

During the competition presentation, our team brilliantly performed dances from Lublin, Cieszyn, Nowy Sącz and Eastern Krakowiaks. As part of OFT 2022, concerts and workshops were held in primary schools, and the participants of the competition themselves took part in dance workshops and a conference on dance led by: Katarzyna Migała, Leszek Rembowski and Jan Łosakiewicz. There was plenty of time for fun and team building.

The jury composed of: Aldona Krupa-Gawron, Katarzyna Migała and Leszek Rembowski decided that the equivalent GRAND PRIX 2022 award also goes to the Polish Dance Group “Wronki” – congratulations!

As we read in the justification:

“The jury decided that due to the artistic diversity of the groups, the main prize GRAND PRIX OF THE POLISH CIOFF® SECTION will go to two teams. An unprecedented situation in the history of the Festival is an expression of appreciation for both groups, presenting Polish dance traditions in a different way. Each of them, due to the level of presentation, deserves the main prize.

It was a beautiful celebration of Polish dance!
