Representation in Czech Republic
On October 25-27, for the invitation of the Horni Sucha commune in the Czech Republic, the Representation Group of our Ensemble and the Orchestra performed at the 10th Jubilee “Fedrowanie z folklorem”. The main motive of Fedrowanie is a combination of mining traditions with folklore from various regions of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. Our ensemble presented themselves in Cieszyn, Opoczno, Lublin region dances and Polonaise. The concert was warmly received by the Czech audience. In addition to performances, in the second part of the program there was a kind of competition of the arrived groups. It took the form of tasks, such as hammering nails, screwing caps or … drinking beer on time. Our representation won in this competition. On Sunday, we participated in a solemn mass on the anniversary of founding a local church.
It was our second visit to Horni Sucha. We hosted for the first time at “Fedrowanie z folklorem” in 2011.
