Tournee in Mexico

Between 26 July and 14 August, the Ensemble with Orchestra traveled to Mexico to participate in four festivals: Orizaba, Cordoba, San Jose Iturbide and Queretaro. During less than 3 weeks, being the only representative of Europe, the group played 33 concerts. In the festivals took part ensembles also from Argentina, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Paraguay and Mexico. Our team was treated as an exotic pearl from faraway Poland and the dances and a specially prepared song “Mexico Lindo” picked up the local audience from the seats and made a standing ovation. In addition to the artistic program, the group visited waterfalls near Tuxpanguillo, the town of Dolores Hidalgo, famous for its colorful ceramics, the rodeo show, Sierra Gorda Nature Reserve and the pre-Columbian city of Teotihuacan with the pyramids of the Sun and Moon. Nice touch was titled Dominika Gieroba – Miss Talent and Magdalena Borowska – Miss Alegria during the election of the Miss Festival in Cordoba. Tired, but full of satisfaction and impression dancers of the I Representation returned to Lublin on 15 August.
